Behnam Ben Taleblu

Behnam Ben Taleblu is a senior fellow at FDD, where his primary focus revolves around issues pertaining to Iranian security and politics. He previously held the positions of research fellow and senior Iran analyst at FDD. Prior to his tenure at FDD, Behnam was engaged in non-proliferation matters at a Washington-based think-tank specializing in arms control. Proficient in native Farsi, Behnam has extensively monitored various Iran-related subjects, encompassing nuclear non-proliferation, ballistic missiles, sanctions, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the foreign and security policies of the Islamic Republic, and internal Iranian politics.

Behnam is frequently sought after to provide briefings to journalists, congressional staff, and other audiences in Washington. He has also given testimonies before both the U.S. Congress and the Canadian Parliament. His insights have been referenced in prominent media outlets, including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Fox News, The Associated Press, and Agence France-Presse. He holds an MA in International Relations from The University of Chicago and a BA in International Affairs and Middle East Studies from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
