He specialises in transforming risk and compliance functions into strategic enablers by embedding psychological safety, strengthening governance, and enabling operational resilience.

His latest book, The Risk Within: Cultivating Psychological Safety for Strategic Decision-Making, explores how fear, silence, and poor challenge cultures can undermine risk oversight and organisational performance. As a former Chief Risk Officer at DWS and Fidelity International, and the host of the RiskMasters podcast, Julien draws on global leadership experience and interviews with senior risk executives to challenge how we lead, govern, and make decisions in complex environments.
