Tal Kollender is the co-founder and CEO of Remedio (formerly GYTPOL), an Israeli cybersecurity company tackling one of the industry’s most persistent blind spots: device configuration risk. While much of the security market has focused on detecting and reporting threats, Remedio is built around a simpler, more uncomfortable premise — that most organizations already know about the weaknesses attackers exploit; they just haven’t fixed them. Its platform automates the remediation of configuration and posture risks across enterprise device fleets, turning known vulnerabilities into closed ones rather than flagged ones.
Kollender’s path into cybersecurity started early. She began exploring hacking as a teenager, an interest that carried her into computing and cyber roles during her service in the Israeli military. She later worked at Dell EMC in cybersecurity and security architecture, gaining an inside view of how large enterprises struggle to translate security findings into real operational fixes. That gap between knowing and doing became the founding insight behind what would eventually become Remedio.
The company was bootstrapped for years before raising its first institutional funding round of $65 million in September 2025, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from TLV Partners and Picture Capital. The milestone reflected growing enterprise appetite for automated remediation over yet another layer of detection tooling. Remedio’s customer base now includes major global names such as Amazon, Coca-Cola Hellenic, Kraft Heinz, Eaton and Colgate-Palmolive, organizations for whom device sprawl and configuration drift represent constant, quietly compounding risk.
Kollender’s central argument challenges a long-standing assumption in the security industry: that visibility is the hard part. In her view, security teams have become highly capable at identifying and reporting risk, but the bottleneck has shifted downstream — to the slow, manual, and often deprioritized work of actually fixing what’s been found. Closing that gap, she argues, is where the next era of enterprise security has to focus. Remedio’s platform is built around that thesis: continuously identifying configuration risks and safely remediating them at scale rather than stopping at detection.
